My travel mate Christine and I had the pleasure of a Night Walk in the Refugio de Vida Silvestre Monteverde with Deiner as our guide. Deiner is knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region and is expert at finding much. We were shown sloths, sleeping toucans and hummingbirds, vipers, frogs, katydids, magnificent trees and flowers, a porcupine high in a tree, and so much more. Deiner was receptive to our questions, and offered much information on his own (and was patient as we took notes). We feel quite lucky to have found Deiner, and we highly recommend him to anyone wishing to learn about the Monteverde region.
